柔州卻仍面對嚴重的師資短缺問題，據柔州教育局長馬爾康透露，柔州華小和淡小目前仍缺乏1千125名教師；中學方面，則仍缺乏559名老師。至於新的師訓畢業生，則要等到2月份才能走馬上任，但人數只有區區約200名。
目前國內仍有1千950名已在去年12月畢業的師訓學士...課程畢業生還未獲分配到學校去執教，原因是他們的學位認證問題遲遲未獲解決。新學年已經開始好幾天了，已經畢業的合格教師竟然還在待業，這是多麼不可思議的亂象呀
