With 1PM planning to announce the PATI RCI TOR in Sabah on 11th August 2012, Mahathir drops a clanger to defend himself.

~ On the basis of length of stay and mastering of the national language, they qualify to be citizens of this country. And so they acquired citizenship.
~ So why cannot the migrants to Sabah who have all these qualifications be accepted as citizens? The objections for them being accepted seem to be political.
~ They speak the language of the indigenous people habitually, practice the customs and traditions of the people they have been assimilated into and incidentally they are Muslim.
~ According to the Federal Constitution, these people are Malays and are, therefore, indigenous and not foreign in origin.

1. The first two points in the original Malaysia Agreement for Sabah states - a) there shall be no official state religion and b) english will remain as the state's official language.
2. Mahathir have clearly denied Sabah's sovereignty as an equal partner together with Sarawak when Malaysia was formed in 1963 by using the Fed Con as the benchmark to grant citizenship.
3. Earlier on, to subdue Sabah's defiance towards Putrajaya, he blatantly manipulated state institutions (and used Anwar Ibrahim) in a game of power politics to condemn Sabahans into becoming a minority on their own land.
4. Ketuanan melayu is still alive and kicking in Mahathir.
